It's Friday! Yes! Yes! Yes! Soon I will be on my way to Malacca with friends whom I knew since I was 13. Joining me from KL were Wang May Yong and Yatie Alias. We talked and laughed and talked again nonstop. Normally driving to Malacca from KL takes only 90minutes but not this time. Took me 2 hours to reach Ayer Keroh Tol. Our mouth were speeding insanely compared to my car.....hahaha. The journey was even sweeter after we realised that the three of us were actually in the same form 1D class!
In Malacca another best buddy, Yvonne Paxton, joined us. Like 3 of us not wreak havoc enough lah! Well...the more the merrier, right???! We went straight to Dataran Pahlawan, joined by Yvonne soon after and convoyed to our first stop, LUNCH!
Yvonne took us to... alamak, forgot la the name of the nyonya restaurant, something sayang or was it dondang. Nooo... Not dondang sayang laaa. Shop was situated on the same road as Bibik Neo restaurant. Lunch was delicious with fish asam pedas, otak-otak, terung goreng pedas & white rice. After lunch, all four of us decided to drive around in my car until 4.30pm for our next agenda. Time for some body relaxation. May Yong took 90minutes body message, Yvonne 60minutes body massage, Yatie passed and I opted for 60minutes foot reflexology. Mmmmmmmm... Sooo relaxed.

The four of us decided to pamper our cooked up brain with some retail therapy at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka MegaMall. Colorful shoes, sheek clothes, fashionable handbags and unbelievable choices of accessories. Boy! The therapy went so well indeed :)
From mall we walked to Jonker Walk. My first time ever at Jonker Walk. Happy happy happy... More things to see and explore. The long nite market offered varieties of products from 'terompah' to table/ceiling lights. Plenty of food and drinks around. I tried a coconut with mango shakes only RM3.50.
Absolutely deeeeelicious...loved it!
FAMOUS JONKER PINEAPPLE TART The one on the left RM15 The other one RM14 |
Heard so much about Jonker Walk famous nyonya pineapple tart cookies. It's a must buy item. Then i saw a lady was busy making & baking the tart. Wow! Freshly baked pineapple tart...i like! "how much?" i asked. Pointing to the one i asked, she answered "this one thirteen" then she continued pointing to the next one "this one fourteen and this one fiveteen". Hah? Did she just say 'fiveteen'? I asked again pretending didn't quite hear her the first time. Yeap! Confirmed loud and clear 'FIVETEEN'. So i bought the fourteen and the fiveteen one each.
Then we walked back towards pahlawan mall and lucky us the river cruise was still open. Paid RM10 each and got ourselves cruising along the river. The cruise was not bad at all with loudspeaker educating us the history of Malacca. From hustling walk at Jonker to calm and breezy river cruise. Perfect ending to a short and sweet trip to Malacca with my school buddies.
